Maths Example
The mathematics subject often scares students away. Almost all teenagers feel that facing numbers is a daunting task. Although some students do love Math, oftentimes, it is a more complex process for other students, however when broken down into simple steps and procedures it’s easy.
problem
Problem: Find the bearing of A from B
In finding the bearing of A from B, remember 3 things:
1. Start north
2. Proceed clockwise with your protractor until you reach A
3. Measure the angle

From the extensive experience I’ve had with students, I have come to find out that they can follow these procedures fine, however still get the question wrong, this is where I come in to identify why?

When students get this question wrong the main reason is because they were not able to read and understand the question properly, and in turn they were not able to answer with the processes that were needed to arrive at the solution fit for the question.
porblem
Therefore if the question asked ‘Find the bearing of B from A, (see above) then the student would give the same answer which would be wrong!
